Northwest Spain and the Pacific Northwest have a lot in common -  wet weather, verdant hilly landscapes, and a maritime cuisine. So why not wine? John Soares and Andrew Riechers are busy discovering the answer to that question, which is - early returns indicate, at least - why not, indeed? Come taste some Oregon Albariño and Mencia w/ the winemakers themselves.

Top to bottom, the Bret Brothers' production can be considered among the greatest in the Mâcon - certainly - but they argue convincingly for a similar placement in white Burgundy's grander scheme. We're pouring our allo this year; come make up your own mind.

Tuesdays are just as important as Fridays, and this Friday we're pouring a slate of Tuesday Night Wines from our friends at Jumbo Time Wines. Well-farmed and naturally-made, these are playful and clean wines perfect for a mid-week glass.

Two of our favorite earthbound wine mystics collide for one supernatural tasting on Mischief Night. Brilliant Burgundy and bristling Champagne make for a night of all treats, no tricks.
